Pre-wedding questionnaire

In order to give you the best experience possible, I ask all of my wedding clients to complete a small questionnaire to get to know more about you and your visions/traditions for your wedding day. We may have already discussed a few bits and pieces but I like to ensure all information is laid out and in the same place. The more information you can provide will help me to curate the way I tell your love story and capture the connection you hold and value between your to-be husband.

Please keep in mind this questionnaire services for a full day coverage booking, so if you have a smaller coverage package booked you're welcome to skip past some parts that may be irrelevant to your experience. I recommend discussing this with the Justice of Peace / your celebrant prior.

Sit down, Buffet, Tea and Cake, Just Dessert, Food truck, Family gathering.

Typically 1.5-2.5 hours in total is ideal. Occasionally the family portraits will be held at the ceremony and the Bride & Groom portraits will be a secluded/separate location. Please let me know what you have planned and consider a alternative option fit for the weather. Are you interested in an intimate portrait session of you both? Would you like this before or after the ceremony? Please allocate up to 30 minutes for this and suggest where.

Typically the photographer leaves 45 mins-1 hour into the night after the first dance unless an exit is planned.

I have a general overview I use however I like to ensure everyone has a place on the day. Please list in the following format: Bride + Groom + Parents / Grandparents Bride + Groom + Siblings Bride + Groom + Cousins I highly suggest appointing someone who is familiar with everyone to help gather up people as they're needed, as it can take longer than expected. Please also keep in mind smaller group numbers where possible (limit to 6-8 people per group).

A few guidelines.

Throughout your wedding day I want you to have the opportunity to soak up how incredibly important and lifechanging this moment is for you and your husband-to-be. Whilst in your presence I aim to blend in with your wedding guests and document the day from their perspective, and so here are some subtle suggestions to keep in mind that will allow me to be as inconspicuous as possible:


Allow additional timing into your timeline for bridal & groom prep so your artists can produce their best work and I can be in their presence from beginning to end without them feel pressured (if attending a getting ready). If they finish up quicker than expected this will leave a small gap of wiggle room we can play with on the day, whilst also ensuring if it does go over you won't be late on the rest of your timeline.


I offer an intimate "bride & groom only" portraits opportunity, to take you away and have a moment to breathe each others presence in and stop time without a crowd. If you did want this moment, please ensure you schedule in at least 20-30 minutes for portraits, longer if you are looking to change locations to allow for travel. If you're looking for group photos after the ceremony please also allocate time aside to accommodate and appoint a family member or family friend who is knowledgeable of the guests that can assist in gathering the groups in limited time. Likewise, if you'd like me to photograph cutting the cake or any other traditions please ensure this will be done within the hours you have booked me for.


If you'd like me to pay special attention to the little details of your wedding that set the tone for the day and compile it all in a beautiful series of flatlay images i.e. invitations, perfume/cologne, bouquet, veil, cuff links, shoes, heirloom items, rings, vow letters, earrings and other jewelry, lipstick of the day, borrowed / blue items, tokens, fabric or ribbon in your wedding colours and blooms please have these ready and in trusted hands to supply on the day. This typically takes from 15 -20 minutes to put together so ensure it's allocated within your timeline.


When the time comes for your first kiss, ensure you soak up the moment and give at minimum a 5 second kiss times 2!; this allows me to ensure one of the most important parts of the day are captured (since there's no redo's on sealing the deal).
